All Toyota fanatics out there listen up! (Or must I say, read on?)
Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) now has the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) for three of its newest “babies” - the 2009 Corolla, 2009 Matrix and the 2008 FJ Cruiser trail Teams Special Edition.
The three vehicles’ base prices now range from $4,755 to $9,950.
But for now, we’ll focus on the 10th generation 2009 Corolla which had its debut at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. The new Corolla comes in five trims namely the Standard, LE, XLE, S as well as the XRS.
Tagged as the 10th generation Corolla, the 2009 Corolla bears a sporty image enhanced by a body kit for its S and XRS models which consists of front spoiler, rocker moldings, upper and lower rear spoilers and engine undercovers that surely matches the quality of the Acura Legend fender.
The new Corolla comes with an all-new body that’s made to have an increased interior and luggage room, more power, more cost-effective engines and an innovative chassis and suspension. It also has a pair of new engines and each can be fused with a five-speed manual transmission. It is available with a four-speed automatic transmission combined with a 1.8-liter engine that produces 132 hp at 6,000 rpm and a five-speed automatic that comes with a 2.4-liter engine that produces 158 hp at 6,000 rpm.
The 2009 Corolla also features safety and convenience systems that have always been Toyota, the world’s third largest automaker’s, trademark. It is equipped with airbags installed in the steering wheel and side curtains as well as the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). As an option, it has a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Tradition Control and cut-off switch.
